何故、この曲を歌うのか、と尋ねられました。


とても美しい歌詞と旋律だから、とお答えしました。


そして、もう少し、付け足しのお話があったんですけど、上手くお伝え出来そうになかったので止めておきました😉


あのね…


サンタバーバラに居た頃、毎晩ベッドで編物をしていたんです。するとね、遠くを走るAmtrakの音、聴こえてくるんです…  


静かな静かな夜、その音を聴いてるとね、嫌いじゃないけど独りはね、でもね、ふっと、「嗚呼、独りだぁ…」て、しみじみ感じました。


そしていつもこの歌が頭に浮かんでいたのです。


しんどくなると、あの美しく、静寂な夜と列車の音、澄んだ空気、そしてこの歌を思い出します。そして、深呼吸すると心がスーッと澄むような気がするのです🌙
